or wordpressisized my brother’s blog today, eventually i’ll get around to doing this one too.

i’ve been using wp a fair amount recently, including implementing it as a cms for stand (an interesting project in itself). the switch was mostly painless, though it took me longer than it should have to export the posts from blogger, mostly because the wp import tool only works if you publish your blogger to a blogspot account (you’d think with the number of people using blogger/wp this information would have been more readily available).

i’m pretty sure the highlight was when dreamweaver uploaded the first 1024 bytes of the css file i had spent the day rewriting and then—and here’s the kicker—managed to overwrite the local version as well! so i was left with a truncated file and no backup! then i got to try and remember all of the changes i’d made, and the site was live already—yay!

seriously, how the hell does that happen?
